Maximum Weight for Checked Baggage
Maximum weight for checked baggage applies
to all baggage except:
-Assist devices such as wheelchairs
-Musical instruments
-Pet in Hold (AVIH) |
-100 lb |
-70 lb for all travel
except
transpacific.
-Transpacific travel will remain
at 100 lb.
- Exempt from this restriction are:

Heavy Bag Fee (50-70 lb) for Transatlantic
and Transpacific travel.
Exceptions:
-between the US and PH/HK/CN and between JP
and Brazil no heavy bag fee applies because
70lb is part of the free baggage allowance.

The heavy bag fee for domestic travel will
remain at USD 25.00/CAD 30.00.

-no charge if within free allowance or
-1 excess baggage charge if not within the

depending on the kennel dimensions.

-101 lb to 121 lb – 4 excess charges
-122 lb to 143 lb – 5 excess charges
