"We are pleased to announce this new service for our customers,"
said Mike Buckman, CEO of BCD Travel. "This is one of several new
product and service offerings we will be launching aimed at
streamlining and simplifying the travel experience for our clients
and their business travelers."
Clear members receive fast access through airport security
checkpoints by verifying their biometric information in
specially-designated Clear lanes. Clear makes security clearance at
the airport less stressful and more consistent.
"We're pleased to have this partnership with BCD Travel, one of the
leaders in global corporate travel," said Fred Fischer, Verified
ID's senior vice president of sales. "Clear will get you through
security lines faster and with less hassle."
BCD Travel's corporate customers will be offered discounts on first
year memberships for their frequent travelers registering for the
Clear program. For ease in registration, any corporation enrolling
two hundred and fifty (250) or more employees at one location,
during a single time period may elect for Verified ID to provide
on-site enrollment for its employees.
About Verified Identity Pass and Clear
Verified Identity Pass, Inc. was founded in 2003 by journalist and
entrepreneur Steven Brill. Clear is the first privately run
Registered Traveler program operating at a U.S. Airport. Brill's
partners in VERIFIED ID include Lockheed Martin and ARINC.
Clear has been operational since July 19, 2005 at Orlando
International Airport. Open to all travelers at a fee of $79.95 per
year, enrollees begin an application online at flyclear.com and then
submit biometric data (fingerprint and iris images) at the
ClearSpace enrollment stations in the airport. Once approved by TSA,
Members use the specially designated ClearLanes upon arrival at the
airport's security checkpoints for expedited passage.
