Northwest Eliminates 90-day Ticket Validity for International Nonrefundable Fares (continued)

Ticket Validity Policy for International Nonrefundable Tickets

Effective Dates for tickets issued:

Wholly Unused Tickets

Partially Used Tickets (no change to first ticketed flight)

April 15, 2005 –

July 31,  2006

To remain valid, wholly unused nonrefundable tickets must be exchanged within one year from date of issue or 90 days after the missed original outbound date designated on the original ticket, whichever comes first.

To remain valid, partially used nonrefundable tickets must be exchanged within 90 days after the first missed flight (and again after any subsequently missed flight) and expire one year after the original departure date.

On/After August 1, 2006

To remain valid, wholly unused nonrefundable tickets must be exchanged within one year from date of issue on the original ticket.

To remain valid, partially used nonrefundable tickets will be valid for up to one year after the original departure date.

When a voluntary change is made to a reservation involving an international ticket, a travel agent will still be required to reissue the ticket at the same time the reservation is modified (except when a voluntary change is made on an unrestricted international fare).

The 90-day ticket validity policy remains in effect for all tickets (international or domestic) issued using WorldPerks miles and nonrefundable domestic fares.
