Stuck at
the Airport?
By Elizabeth Yuan
Source: CNN
Life as a business traveler doesn't have to wind up like
the movies "Terminal" or "Jet Lag" where the main
characters find themselves idling away at the airport.
CNN.com surveyed the world's 10 busiest airports,
according to Airports Council International, to find out
how travelers can keep themselves occupied when faced
with a lengthy layover or flight delay.
The airports are listed by rank in terms of passenger
traffic last year.

Elite Security Lines Bug Some But Not Others
By Dan Reed
Source: USA TODAY
GRAPEVINE, Texas — Travelers love them or hate them, but
few are without an opinion about the special lines most
airlines maintain to whisk their best customers through
security checkpoints.
"It's ludicrous," a visibly irritated Charles Gresham
said as he and his family prepared to enter the regular
security line at Dallas/Fort Worth airport's new
international terminal.
The Greshams' line wasn't particularly long. But
watching elite members of American Airlines' AAdvantage
program move briskly through their own line to
effectively jump ahead was a bitter pill to swallow.

Ritz Carlton Rolls Out Luggageless Travel
Source: Breaking Travel News
For guests of many Ritz-Carlton Hotels
traveling by air to destinations around the
world, the choice will no longer be whether
to risk stashing liquids and gels into
checked luggage, or dashing to the pharmacy
at their destination to pick up all the
personal care items currently banned under
the new Transportation Security
Administration (TSA) rules.
"Luggageless Travel," a service first
introduced after 9/11, is being brought back
as a program available for guests who stay
at the same Ritz-Carlton at least four times
a month.
To take advantage of "Luggageless Travel,"
frequent road warriors may leave their
suitcase at their hotel, upon check out.
Items needing dry cleaning or laundry will
be taken care of by the hotel staff, then
stored until the guest returns for their
next visit. Any personal care items needed
will be provided by the hotel, in accordance
with guest requests.
"When our frequent guests return for their
next stay, everything will be hung in the
closet, stored in the bathroom, and they
will have no concerns about how to pack or
what to pack," said Paul Westbrook, senior
vice president, brand and product
development for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel
Company. The cost to guests for "Luggageless
Travel" will be the usual laundry/valet
charges which apply and any special request
personal care items will be replenished,
with the cost charged to the guest upon
check-out.

C.C. Chambers

Vicki,
Thanks very much for e-mailing me back, and please tell C.C thanks
for looking into this for me.
Also, please let me send my comments to you directly about C.C,
since I am talking to the CEO. I have never met in my 12
years of traveling a more professional person to work with. No
matter what phone number I call from anywhere in the world, C.C
always remembers my voice and always gives me her best. Now, I am
sure that she is the same way with every one of her customers, but
it sure does make me feel special. She always goes above and beyond.
We have become very close friends over the years and we have never
met. To be honest with you when I call A&I and I cannot get C.C on
the phone, I will always wait for her line to come available. She
knows me and is always looking out for me.
Thanks so much to all of the A&I folks
and I appreciate you fixing my current situation.
